SkinAnalyzer SEBU - Screenshot SkinAnalyzer SEBU - Screenshot

To the left are two screenshots of the program, the upper one showing oily skin, the lower one normal skin.

The original image is displayed in the upper left corner of the window. The rotating 3D model next to the original image visualizes the result. The red dot marks the direction of the image.

In the 3D model, blue color marks areas with very little sebum, white indicates areas with a normal amount. Areas where a very high amount of sebum has been detected by the indicator strip are marked orange.

Beneath the two images there is a color-coded gradient from blue through white to orange. This bar is used to represent a rough estimate of the results for the analyzed image, ranging from 0 (very dry skin) to 100 (very oily skin).

As an aid for interpretation, three images with their respective estimates are displayed at the bottom of the window. Each estimate has a background of the color corresponding to the respective result on the color bar.

Analyzing with the SkinAnalyzer SEBU System

The SkinAnalyzer SEBU system consists of:

The system is able to determine the skin's state by indirectly measuring its sebum production. Due to a physical process the indicator is able to produce an image of the lipidous areas of the skin, which can then be used for an objective analysis. With the included camera, a picture is taken of the important areas of the pad which is then analyzed on the computer.

The software is optimized for touch-screen computers but will work just as well on standard PCs. In case you're not sure if your computer is suitable for the software, there's a test program available for download to determine if it meets the requirements.

Why use SkinAnalyzer?

Especially in the facial areas, an appropriate but not exceedingly high amount of lipids are critical to a person's well-being.

High amounts of sebum are not direct causes of comedones and acne, but they do indirectly contribute in their development. Objective measurements thus help in finding appropriate beauty and cleaning products.
