SkinAnalyzer TOPO
|
SkinAnalyzer TOPO is the latest in our series of skin analysis products, offering the unique ability to easily measure and visualize the skin's microstructure. Owing to the relation between the skin's structure and its perceived age and groundbreaking research results, SkinAnalyzer TOPO aids in determining the skin's sensitivity by tracing the skin's structural irregularities. A powerful computer, an advanced and specially adapted microscopy camera and our newly developed software to automatically analyze the camera's images form the core components of the SkinAnalyzer TOPO system. With a bit of practice, the software becomes an invaluable tool for an objective consultation. |
SkinAnalyzer TOPO aids in directly measuring and analyzing the skin's surface. It is important to know that the results will vary depending on the analyzed location. The automated image analysis is best suited for the inner parts of the forearm, but it is also well suited to demonstrate the effects of peelings and the like. |
Analysis Output
To the left is a screenshot of the program. The original image is displayed in the upper left corner of the window. On the upper right side is a moving 3D model that shows the three-dimensional skin structure. The red dot marks the direction of the image.
As an aid for interpretation, three images with their respective estimates are displayed at the bottom of the window.
Interpretation of analysis results is very easy. A high Topography Index indicates deep skin furrows and clearly visible wrinkles, a low index means smooth skin and shallow skin furrows.
Analyzing with the SkinAnalyzer TOPO System
The SkinAnalyzer TOPO system consists of:
- digital USB microscopy camera
- specially crafted tube attachment to the camera
- analysis computer (optional)
- the SkinAnalyzer TOPO software
The system is able to determine the skin's state by directly measuring its structure.
The software works on standard PCs running Windows 2000, XP, Vista or 7. A CPU with 1 GHz or more and at least 512 megabytes of RAM are recommended. A high screen resolution is advantageous, the minimum requirements are 1024x768 pixels with a 24 bit color depth. The most important windows are scalable and support higher screen resolutions.
DirectX 9 is used for the 3D display. DirectX 9-enabled drivers for most recent graphics cards are typically available on the website of the graphics card's or computer's manufacturer.
The software is optimized for touch-screen computers but will work just as well on standard PCs. In case you're not sure if your computer is suitable for the software, there's a test program available for download to determine if it meets the requirements.
